It is being warned in the video that no such note of ₹ 500 should be taken, in which the green strip is not near the RBI Governor’s signature but near the picture of Gandhiji. But PIB in its factcheck has termed the viral video as fake. He said in his factcheck that both the notes are valid. RBI also says that both the 500 rupee notes are valid.
