It is known that Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL) of Adani Group has installed this wind turbine in Mundra, Gujarat. Adani New Industries has installed the country’s largest wind turbine generator (WTG) in Mundra, Gujarat. This turbine is installed by Mundra Windtech Limited (MWL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited (NIL).

Let us tell you that MWL’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Milind Kulkarni says that, ‘Proto assembly was completed in a record time of 19 days. Now it has been installed and enabled. The 200 meter long wind turbine has a power generation capacity of 5.2 MW and can easily provide electricity to about 4,000 homes.

It is being told that this is the tallest turbine in the country. This turbine has turned out to be taller than the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue of 182 meters. Its blades are 78 metres, bigger than the wingspan of a jumbo jet. Thus it is the largest wind turbine in terms of power generation and has a rotor diameter of 160 meters. The hub height of this wind turbine generator is 120 meters, which is equivalent to a 40-storey building.
