Code Name Tiranga with Doctor Ji has been released at the box office this Friday. At the same time, if we talk about Ayushmann’s previous release, this time his film has got a better opening than that. Ayushmann’s previous release got an opening of ₹ 1.77 crore at the box office.

According to a report by Boxofficeindia.com, Doctor Ji has earned in the range of ₹3-3.25 crores as per initial estimates. It added that the Saturday collection of the film is expected to do well at the box office in the coming days. ‘Doctor Ji’ is a campus comedy film, a comedy-drama set in a medical college. The film is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and written by him in collaboration with Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat and Vishal Wagh. The film received broadly mixed reviews.


In a behind-the-scenes video shared on Instagram ahead of the film’s release, Shefali Shah said, “It’s always exciting. When I was a kid I wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to be a neurosurgeon but there are other aspects of life. There were plans and I was not ready to study physics.” He added, “It’s a very good script, very sensitive, sweet and interesting subject and it is very funny”.
