BCCI is on the way to appoint a different captain in different format, big changes will be seen soon

Indian Cricket Team Split Captaincy: Big changes will soon be seen in the Indian cricket team. The entire selectors committee was removed last Friday itself and now applications have been invited for new selectors. Apart from completely changing the selection committee, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also going to make a big change regarding the captaincy. So far in Indian cricket, different captains have not been seen in different formats but this may change in future.

BCCI is now ready to appoint a different captain in different formats. For the time being only change will be seen in T20 in which Hardik Pandya can be appointed as permanent captain in place of Rohit Sharma. Apart from this, Rohit will continue to lead the team in ODIs and Tests. Looking at the ODI World Cup to be held next year, no change is expected in this format, but by giving Hardik the captaincy of the T20 team, the concept of a different captain in a different format will also be included in Indian cricket.

Hardik is getting continuous support

Ever since the end of the T20 World Cup 2022, there has been a continuous demand to make Hardik the captain of the T20 team. Hardik is getting the support of veterans like Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar. At present, he has reached New Zealand tour as captain and is participating in the three-match T20 series there. The first match of the series was canceled due to rain and now the second match is to be played on Sunday. Along with this series, Hardik will try to prove his mettle in the captaincy. However, it is almost certain that Hardik will get the responsibility before the next T20 series.
