Coal Mine Auction: Due to Corona epidemic and Russia-Ukraine war, inflation is skyrocketing all over the world including India. Along with this, there is a danger of recession all over the world. In such a situation, the crisis of job in the world can be seen in the coming days. In such a situation, the Government of India is planning to take tough steps for the creation of jobs. The Ministry of Coal started the process of the sixth phase of auction of coal mines on 3 November 2022. In this phase, the government is auctioning CMSP and MMDR, lignite and non-coking and coking mines.
Giving information about this auction, the Ministry of Coal and the Ministry of Finance have said that a total of 141 blocks will be auctioned. From this auction, the government expects that the total government will get a revenue of 20 thousand crores. Through this, the state governments will be able to create about 2 lakh new jobs. After bidding in this auction, if someone wants to return some part, then the government is giving this facility to the companies in this auction. It is worth noting that in the last financial year, the government had auctioned 11% of coal.
67 blocks will be auctioned in these states
Let us tell you that Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi told that in this year the government has auctioned a total of 67 blocks. The total production of coal in the year 2014 was 572 metric tonnes, which is targeted to be increased to 900 metric tonnes. Presently 140 mines are present in 12 states across the country. Out of this only 72 can be used. At the same time, the remaining 69 mines could not be used.
Youth will get job opportunity in many states
The central government and the state government want to create more and more new jobs in different parts of the country. For this, the government is trying to set a target to spend the money raised from the auction of coal for the development of jobs and youth. Let us tell you that the states which have maximum coal mines are Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh Bihar, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Kerala and Maharashtra. Let us tell you that between 2010 and 2014, the import of coal has come down from 23% to only 2%.
