Unemployment Rate in India 2022 : Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has today stressed on bridging the gap between rich and poor in India. Speaking at an event held in Nagpur on Thursday, he emphasized on economic and social equality in the country.

Minister Nitin Gadkari also said that at present there is a need for social and economic equality within the country. The gap between the poor and the rich people of the society has increased. Not only this, economic inequality has also increased like social inequality. Minister Gadkari said that despite India becoming the world’s 5th largest economy and being a prosperous country, its people are facing poverty, hunger, unemployment, casteism, untouchability and inflation. Here the gap between rich and poor people is getting deeper, this gap needs to be bridged.

In Nagpur, Gadkari was addressing a program organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, another organization affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He said that we are the fastest growing economy in the world and the fifth largest economy. We are a prosperous nation with a poor population. Our country is prosperous, but our population is facing hunger, unemployment, poverty, inflation, casteism, untouchability. These factors are not good for the progress of the society.
Development will happen in 124 districts
The Union Minister also said that there is a need to work in such other areas including education, health to bridge the gap between rich and poor. He has called for working unitedly to develop 124 aspirational districts in the country. He said that these 124 aspirational districts of the country are lagging behind in terms of social and education and health. There has been a lot of development in the urban areas in the country, but due to lack of facilities and opportunities in the rural areas, a large population is migrating to the cities. He has also appealed to the Bharat Vikas Parishad to work on empowering rural areas.
