IIT Mandi will teach skill development to youth, 5 new courses started

IIT Mandi skill development courses: Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi (IIT Mandi) in collaboration with Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (HPKVN) has started skill development through its Continuing Education Center (CCE). IIT Mandi has launched five short courses to help the youth of Himachal Pradesh tackle real-life engineering problems and make them employable and job-ready. The duration of these courses will be one month and the candidates interested for these courses can register on the official website iitmandi.ac.in.

According to media reports, the above course will help in skill development for automation and other jobs under PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana). On successful completion of the course, all candidates will be given a Partnership Certificate from the Center for Continuing Education, IIT Mandi. These courses have been started for IT, Diploma Engineers, Engineering students, Working Engineers, Post Graduate and PhD level students, Teachers/ Faculty members of Technical Institutes of Himachal Pradesh. Those who want to improve themselves in their scientific and engineering research work.

In a press release about the new courses, Professor Tushar Jain, Head of the Center for Continuing Education said that, seeing the success of the first course on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, we are launching five further courses. According to media reports, IIT Mandi will provide free food, accommodation and education material to those who will unroll in this course. The five new courses are as follows.

1- Embedded Systems
2- Model Predictive Control for Industrial Systems
3- Computational fluid dynamics
4- Finite Element Modeling for Engineering
5- Product Design and Manufacturing
