Dhawan is a veteran player and has also been seen captaining the Indian team in recent times. Dhawan has been made the captain of the Indian team for the ODI series to be held on New Zealand tour. Earlier, he captained India in the three-match ODI series against South Africa. Dhawan has more captaincy experience than Mayank and can be a good option for Punjab.
