Kuhnemann on Jadeja: Matthew Kuhneman has already declared himself a fan of Ravindra Jadeja. His teammates in Sheffield Shield call him by the name ‘Jaddu’. When Kuhneman made his debut in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023, he had asked for some tips from his favorite player i.e. Ravindra Jadeja, although Jadeja then told him that he would give him some important advice only after the series was over. In such a situation, when the last Test was completed in Ahmedabad, immediately after that Jadeja and Kuhneman had a long conversation.
Kuhneman told in a conversation with the Australian Associate Press, ‘This conversation with him (Jadeja) lasted for 15 minutes. He gave me some important tips. We talked a lot about spin bowling. Nathan Lyon introduced me to him. He (Jadeja) was very impressed with Nathan, Todd and my bowling. When he said this about us, it was great to hear all this from his mouth.
Kuhneman told, ‘He gave me some good advice about bowling in the Indian subcontinent next time and there were some tips that could be helpful in Australia as well. He is a very nice person. He told me that you can talk to me anytime, send messages on Instagram, so I would say that this conversation was very good.
Kuhneman wreaked havoc in Indore Test
Matthew Kuhneman took 9 wickets in 5 innings of three matches of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. This was the debut series for him. He played his debut test in Delhi. He did not get much success in Delhi, but in the Indore Test, he took 5 wickets in India’s first innings after spending just 16 runs. Due to his excellent bowling, the Australian team was able to put pressure on the Indian team in the Indore Test and could make a comeback in the series.
