The first match of the ODI series between Australia and England was played in Adelaide on 17 November. In this match, Australia defeated England by 6 wickets. Batting first, England scored 287 runs for 9 wickets. Chasing the target of 288 runs for the win, the Australian team achieved the target at the loss of 4 wickets. Whereas in the second match, Australia scored 280 runs while playing first. The England team, which came down to achieve the target, got piled on just 208 runs. Kangaroo team won this match by 72 runs. In this way, Australia is ahead 2-0 in the 3-match series.
Pat Cummins returns as ODI captain

Pat Cummins will return as captain in the third ODI against England. He was rested in the second match played in Sydney. Josh Hazlewood captained in his absence. Pat Cummins has been appointed as the new captain of Australia’s ODI team after Aaron Finch retired from ODIs. Finch announced his retirement from ODI cricket in September. Cummins started his captaincy journey in ODIs with a win. Apart from this, he is also the regular captain of the Test team.
