When an Indian student of the University of Maryland asked Nirmala Sitharaman about the introduction of UPI in America, the Finance Minister said that we are working together with many countries for this. The student had asked that I am a student of the University of Maryland here. I am really proud of India’s UPI system. I just want to know what are your plans for UPI in future and how can we share it with the world. Especially in America because it is one such thing in India that I miss a lot here. Sitharaman said that we are in talks with various countries for this. Countries like Singapore and UAE have come forward in accepting the RuPay card.

Regarding the budget, he said that the upcoming budget will be prepared with a view to give a new direction to the pace of growth of the country. It is too early to tell anything about the next budget. But, broadly speaking, growth will be given the highest priority. Inflation is a matter of concern and measures will be taken to control it. Now how to manage both inflation and growth together will be a natural question. The next budget of the country will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in February next year. Its preparations will start in full swing from December.
