Stock Market Closing: Indian markets closed sharply due to buying in IT, banking stocks

Stock Market Closing On 14th October 2022: The Indian stock market saw a great rally on the last trading day of the week due to better results of Infosys and buying of investors in IT sector stocks. At the end of trading today, the Sensex of the Mohbay Stock Exchange rose 684 points to 57,919 points and the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,185 points with a gain of 171 points.

However, the market lost its lead from the upper level. The Sensex was trading at 1100 at one time and the Nifty was trading with a gain of more than 300 points. Today, buying was seen in the stocks of banking sector, IT, pharma, MNCG sector stocks in the market. While stocks in auto, metals, real estate, media and energy sectors saw a decline. A mixed trend was seen in the shares of mid cap and small cap sector.

If we look at the stocks which were up today, Infosys 4.03 percent, HDFC Bank 3.54 percent, HDFC 2.85 percent, HCL Tech 2.14 percent, ICICI Bank 2.06 percent, Larsen 1.95 percent, Kotak Mahindra 1.81 percent, Bajaj Finance 1.71 percent, Dr Reddy 1.33 percent and SBI has closed with a gain of 1.09 percent.

If we look at the stocks which fell, Mahindra 1.38 percent, Asian Paints 0.84 percent, Reliance 0.63 percent, Power Grid 0.58 percent, Bharti Airtel 0.48 percent, Wipro 0.44 percent, Maruti Suzuki 0.40 percent.

Trading was seen in 3593 total shares in the stock market today, in which 1837 shares closed with a fall in 1607 shares. There has been no change in the prices of 149 shares. 242 shares closed with upper circuit and 137 shares closed with lower circuit. At the same time, the market cap of companies listed on BSE has reached Rs 270.37 lakh crore.
