Trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed for the entire session on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Tomorrow neither there will be trading in the stock market nor will there be any business in the currency market. Trading on BSE and NSE will resume as usual on Wednesday

Holiday notice has been given on BSE
According to the list of Stock Market Holiday 2022 available on the official website of BSE,, there will be no working in the equity segment, equity derivative segment and SLB segment on Tuesday, 8 November. On the other hand, trading in the currency derivatives segment and interest rate derivatives segment will also remain closed.

The last holiday of the year falling on the trading day in the stock market
If we look at the Stock Market Holiday List of BSE, in the year 2022, apart from the weekly off on Saturday and Sunday, there have been a total of 13 holidays. Under this, the last holiday falling on the business day is falling on November 8, while the holiday falling on December 25 is on Sunday, so it is being counted in the weekly holiday.

In October last month, trading was closed on three occasions with trading sessions in the stock market. Under this, there was no business on BSE and NSE on 5th October, Dussehra, 24th October, Diwali and Balipratipada on 26th October. However, trading took place in the Muhurta trading session as per tradition for one hour from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm on the day of Diwali, 24 October.
