Stock Market Open: Market starts on decline, Sensex breaks over 200 points to open at 61,456

Stock Market Opening: The stock market has started with a decline today and softness is being seen in the domestic stock markets. Today the market has not got any special support from the global markets and nothing big has come from the domestic indications. After opening by more than 0.35 percent in the beginning, the Sensex-Nifty has broken more than 0.50 percent in the opening minutes itself.

During today’s trading, the BSE’s 30-share index Sensex opened at 61,456.33, down 207.15 points, or 0.34 per cent. On the other hand, the NSE’s 50-share index Nifty opened at 18,246.40, down 61.25 points, or 0.33 per cent.

Sensex and Nifty condition in the market
Within 10 minutes of the opening, the fall in the market has deepened and only 5 out of 30 Sensex stocks are seeing a boom while 25 stocks are trading with a decline. At the same time, out of 50 Nifty stocks, only 13 stocks are trading with an increase and 37 stocks are registering a decline.

Today all the sectoral indices of the market are trading in the red mark of decline. Maximum weakness of 1.03 per cent is seen in IT stocks and 0.98 per cent in realty stocks. Consumer durables index is down by 0.45 percent and metal stocks are down by 0.73 percent.

Bank Nifty is also trading with a decline in the sectoral index of the market today and is at the level of 42263 after slipping 175 points.

Market in pre-opening
In the pre-opening of the stock market today only a decline is being seen in the stock market and Sensex-Nifty are trading in the red mark. BSE’s Sensex remained at the level of 61426 with a fall of 237 points i.e. 0.38 per cent. On the other hand, NSE’s Nifty was trading at 18240 level, falling 66.85 points i.e. 0.37 percent.
