Mohammad Nabi Resigns Australia vs Afghanistan: Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi has resigned from his post after the T20 World Cup 2022 defeat against Australia on Friday. The news of Nabi’s resignation was given by the ICC to the fans through Twitter. After resigning Nabi said that the journey of T20 World Cup is about to end for us. We could not live up to the expectations of the fans. Nabi has also expressed his disappointment about the performance of the team.

The prophet shared the matter of resignation with his fans through Twitter. He has written an emotional letter. Nabi wrote, “Our T20 World Cup journey is nearing its end. The results we had were not up to the expectations of the fans and us. We are very disappointed with the outcome of the match. For the last one year, our team’s preparation was not up to the level that a captain would want or need for a big tournament. Also, in the last few tours, the team management, the selection committee and I were not moving forward with the same thinking, which affected the balance of the team.

Referring to the resignation, Nabi further wrote, “Therefore, I announce my resignation as a captain with honor and will continue to play for my country. I thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart who came on the field despite the rain and who supported us across the globe, your love really means a lot to us. Afghanistan is immortal.

It is worth noting that Afghanistan has played 3 matches in Super 12 so far and has not won a single match during this period. Afghanistan faced defeat in 3 matches.
