While Meta said goodbye to the employees with 4 months salary, on the other hand, Twitter discharged the employees without any compensation. Twitter laid off about 3800 employees while Facebook’s parent company Meta showed the way out to more than 11000 workers in the name of cost cutting.

After being removed from Meta and Twitter, the employees living abroad have to find a job within 2 months otherwise their visa (H-1B visa) may be cancelled. In case of not getting the job, the employees may have to return back to India.
