This scheme has been launched by the Modi government at the Center to make special daughters self-reliant. On opening an account under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, you can prepare a big fund (Investment for Girl Child) for the future of the girl child by depositing a small amount every month. Under this scheme, every account holder gets 7.6 percent interest rate (Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana Rate of Interest) on the deposited amount.

Know the details of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana
Under this scheme, you can invest from Rs 250 to Rs 1.50 lakh in every financial year. This scheme has been started by the Modi government in the year 2015. Under this scheme, you can open an account for a girl child up to 10 years of age. You can open this account in bank or any post office. Under this scheme, any investor gets the maximum investment limit for a total of 14 years. After this, after the child completes 18 years of age, she can herself withdraw 50 percent of the amount deposited in the account. At the same time, the remaining amount can be withdrawn after the age of 21 years. Keep in mind that the daughter has the right to withdraw the money deposited in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana’s account (SSY Account). In 18 years she can withdraw the entire money deposited in the account for her studies and after 21 years for her marriage expenses.

This condition will have to be fulfilled to open SSY account of third daughter
Under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, parents are allowed to open accounts for only two of their daughters. In such a situation, the question arises that under what condition the third girl child gets permission to open Sukanya Samriddhi account? If a person has a daughter in the first child and twin girls are born in the second time, then in such a situation the government gives permission to open Sukanya Samriddhi account to all the three girls. In such a situation, the parents can get the benefit by opening Sukanya Samriddhi account in the name of all the three girls. But the thing to note under this scheme is that the benefit of income tax exemption has been given for the account of all the three daughters.

Know how much return is received-
Under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, you get an interest rate of 7.6 percent. In this scheme, if you invest a maximum of Rs 1.50 lakh for 14 consecutive years after the birth of the girl child, then you will have to pay Rs 12,500 every month on an account. After this, your total investment amount will be Rs 22.50 lakhs, which will become Rs 63.65 lakhs after 21 years of the girl child. In this, you will get the benefit of total interest of Rs 41.15 lakh. This will be almost three times your investment amount.
