Punjab has made Wasim Jaffer its batting coach again. Jaffer left the post of Punjab’s batting coach before the auction of last season. However, now he is back in the team again.

Jaffer was made his batting coach by Punjab for the first time in 2019 and Jaffer played his role well for three seasons. After this, Jaffer left his post before the auction of 2022 season and he was not associated with IPL in 2022 season. Jaffer has also been working with Bangladesh Cricket Board and he has been coaching young players of Bangladesh.

Punjab has released many players before the next season, including former team captain Mayank Agarwal. When the franchise announced Shikhar Dhawan as its new captain, then only Mayank’s release was almost decided. Odion Smith, who was bought at a huge price last season, has also been released.
