And the base price of all the teams will be Rs 400 crore. BCCI will soon issue tender for e-auction. The existing teams of IPL can also take part in this. Actually, this decision was taken in the meeting of BCCI on 18 October, it was the 91st meeting of BCCI.

This will be the format of Women’s IPL

Recently, the BCCI had said that the Women’s IPL will be organized from the year 2023. On the lines of Men’s IPL, this tournament will also be of 20-20 overs. All the teams of this tournament will fight each other 2-2 times. Table toppers will get direct entry for the finals. Whereas in the Eliminator, there will be a match between the second and third placed teams. There cannot be more than five foreign cricketers in the playing XI of each team.

Each team will have a maximum of 18 players

According to BCCI, the first five teams will play in this tournament to make a good team with domestic and international players. Each team can consist of a maximum of eighteen players. There will not be more than six foreign players in these 18 players. Significantly, the Women’s Big Bash League is being organized in Australia from the year 2016. Apart from this, Women’s The Hundred was played in England last year. The Pakistan Cricket Board has also decided to organize the Women’s League from next year.
