According to the Puranas, water should not be offered to Tulsi on Sundays. Tulsi should neither be worshiped nor plucked Tulsi leaves should be plucked on Sundays. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi fasts on Sunday, so water is not offered to her on this day.
- Shami tree is not worshiped on Sundays. Shami plant is dedicated to Shani Dev. Therefore, worship of this tree should be done mainly on Saturday. Sunday is dedicated to the Sun God, so the Shami tree is not worshiped on this day.
- It is believed that Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are seated in the Peepal tree. Peepal tree should not be worshiped on Sunday. It is believed that due to this there is financial crisis in the house. One should also avoid going under the Peepal tree on Sundays.
